Въведение

LimeSurvey съдържа вградено средство, което позволява бърз и лесен превод на анкети. Това средство е предназначено да улесни човешкия преводач да преведе анкета от основния език на който и да е целеви език.

Този уики раздел накратко описва как може да се създаде многоезично проучване. Ръководството обхваща теми като:

• добавяне на втори език

• превод на низове

• инструмент за бърз превод

• общ преглед на многоезично проучване

Примерът, анализиран в целия wiki раздел, може да бъде изтеглен от тук: LS3 multilingual survey sample. Разархивирайте го и импортирайте .lss файла във вашето копие на LimeSurvey.

Добавяне на допълнителни езици

Езикът по подразбиране на анкетата е този, който сте избрали в полето за основен език. По подразбиране това е езикът, конфигуриран в глобалните настройки на вашето копие.

За да проверите кой език е основният, влезте в общ панел с настройки на проучването и потърсете полето за основен език. В нашия пример основният език е "английски". За да започнете да добавяте нови езици, на които искате да преведете анкетата, вижте полето за допълнителни езици. В нашия пример са избрани три други езика: френски, немски и италиански.

След като сте готови, не забравяйте да кликнете върху бутона '"Запазване", разположен в горната дясна част на екрана.

Сега, ако проверите горната лента с инструменти, можете да забележите, че се появи малка стрелка до „Преглед на анкетата“. Това означава, че анкетата може да бъде визуализирана на различни езици:

Ако влезете в панела общ преглед, се показват четири допълнителни връзки към проучването. Те съответстват на наскоро добавените езици:

Превод на низове

За да започнете да превеждате низове, влезте в панела за редактор на всеки ваш въпрос. Можете да видите на екранната снимка по-долу, че три допълнителни езика се показват над полето с код на въпроса:

Кликнете върху който и да е от тях и започнете да превеждате полето за въпрос.

Същият тип "езикова лента" се намира на много други места, като например в текстовите елементи и панелите с настройки на правилата за данни, текстовите полета за отговори и подвъпроси и т.н. Въпреки това преводът на полета с помощта на този метод може да се окаже труден, ако анкетата ви е дълга и искате да не пропуснете нищо. Ето защо горещо препоръчваме на нашите потребители да използват инструмента за бърз превод. За достъп до него щракнете върху която и да е настройка, свързана с проучване (като „Общ преглед“) -> Инструменти -> Бърз превод

Инструмент за бърз превод

Инструментът за бърз превод е специално създаден за тези, които работят с многоезични проучвания. След достъп ще се зареди следният панел:

Първата опция, превод на, ви дава възможност да изберете езика, на който желаете да превеждате, от вашия основен език.

The next options refer to the translation of your survey content. They refer to:

• Survey title and description
• Welcome and end texts
• Question groups
• Questions
• Subquestions
• Answer options
• Invitation email subject
• Reminder email subject
• Confirmation email subject
• Registration email subject

Please note that at the moment of writing this section (LimeSurvey 3.16.0), the following sections are translatable but not displayed in this panel:

• Data policy text
• Assessment text
• Quota text

To translate them, please access each option and follow the steps described in the previous wiki subsection.

Once you are done translating these fields, do not forget to click on the "Save" button located in the upper right part of the panel.

Multilingual survey overview

To check your work, use the preview button. The welcome page will look like this:

Two language switcher can be observed once the welcome page is loaded. LimeSurvey offers the possibility to your respondents to change the language of instructions even though you shared with them the corresponding link for a specific language. A language switcher will also be located on the top right-side of your survey.

In the case in which you wish to hide the two "language switcher" buttons, edit the theme of your survey. For more details, see the hints & tips wiki subsection.

In the case in which a string is not translated, the respective string will be displayed in the base language of your survey.

Hints & tips

• If you wish to grant users translation permissions to access the quick-translation tool, check the following wiki subsection.

• The "Auto-translate" feature makes use of the Google translate web service for automatic translation of a survey. You must enter your Google Translate API Key under global settings to access this feature. Google currently charges $20 US per 1 million characters submitted for translation.

How to hide the language switcher from the welcome page

In the case in which you decide to launch a multilingual survey, you will observe on the welcome page a drop-down menu that permits your respondents to select the language in which they wish to fill in your survey:

However, in certain scenarios you wish to hide the respective option. There are many ways in which you can hide the language switcher. The "twig" way is displayed below.

Access Themes from the global Configuration menu:

Click on the Theme editor button to edit the desired theme:

LimeSurvey does not allow you to edit the standard themes! If you wish to add changes to a standard theme, click on the Extend button located on the top bar to create an editable copy of it.

Look on the left side of the screen for the language_changer.twig file.

Go to the line that contains the following function:

Comment it out (replace "%" with "#") and copy the following line below it:

{% if false == true %}

The line should look like this in the end:

Click on "Copy to local theme and save changes".

Access your survey and select the edited theme from the general settings panel. Now, the welcome page should look like this:

How to hide the language switcher located on the top menu

To hide the top language switcher, we will follow pretty much the same steps as described above. We just have to access the right twig file to edit it. Access again the theme you wish to change, and then go to Screen which is located in the upper-right part of the window and select Navigation from the dropdown list. Now, look on the left side of the window for "language_changer_top_menu.twig". Click on it and comment out:

Add the following line below it:

No language switcher will be displayed on the right side of the screen:
