You may want to have recurring survey, that is to say use the same survey structure for the same set of participants and compare previous responses of one participant to those given later by the same one. This way you can find out changing trends in the answers.

For instance let's think of a satisfaction survey intended to customers having bought a car: you could run the survey one month after the purchase and then 1 year after and compare the answer changes.
In certain scenarios you may want to have a recurring survey - using the same survey structure for the same set of participants to compare the previous responses of one participant to those submitted at different times. This method is useful in analysing trends.

For such recurring surveys, you may find it convenient for the participant to see the survey pre-filled with his previous answers when he participates for the second time to the survey.
For example, in a satisfaction survey intended for customers that recently bought a car, you could run the survey one month after the purchase, again 1 year after, and compare the answers.

LimeSurvey has a specific feature called "Iterate survey" which enables to manage such surveys.
For such recurring surveys, you may find it convenient to have the participant see the survey pre-filled with their previous answers when they participate for the second time in the survey.

General

In certain scenarios you may want to have a recurring survey - using the same survey structure for the same set of participants to compare the previous responses of one participant to those submitted at different times. This method is useful in analysing trends.

For example, in a satisfaction survey intended for customers that recently bought a car, you could run the survey one month after the purchase, again 1 year after, and compare the answers.

For such recurring surveys, you may find it convenient to have the participant see the survey pre-filled with their previous answers when they participate for the second time in the survey.

Follow the steps below to make use of the "Iterate survey" functionality of LimeSurvey:
